| A lame horse is cured by magnet and dog collar Janet and Galantia ... Top vets said the horse was crippled after she broke a bone in her foot but now she shows no sign of lameness. A crippled thoroughbred horse, written off by top vets, has been cured by a magnet, a dog collar and a boot says its owner. Professional riding instructor Janet Knapp was devastated when vets predicted a crippled future for her much loved 18-month-old Galantia. They said it would never be fit for competition because of suspected arthritis in a foot. But Janet, a top horsewoman, says the experts have been proved wrong after the horse's lameness vanished due to the power of magnetism. Galantia, a Danish Hanoverian, had been carefully bred for Janet, who is based in Compstall, near Stockport, to use in top dressage and eventing competitions. But at the age of six months the filly fractured a bone in her foot and treatment to correct a crookedness aggravated the fracture. Janet said: 'The horse was crippled and she was referred to a leading veterinarian research centre. Four months later she was just as bad . She was useless at 18 months. I was told she wouldn't come sound and I had spent £1,300 on vet's bills.' But Janet read an article about amazing successes associated with magnetic therapy. She attached a magnet to the foot with a dog collar - and Galantia's lameness began to disappear. When the horse lost the magnet she replaced it with a special magnetic boot. The boot, say makers BI0FL0W, works through the pads producing a powerful magnetic field to get blood flowing again. |
